Request Copies of Audio Recordings and Transcripts
All hearings held by the Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH) are recorded or have a court reporter. All requests for audio copies of hearings are processed by a Media Technician within the Clerk's Office. A written request is required for all hearing CD requests . The written request must include the case name, OAH case number (and soundex number for the Motor Vehicle Administration cases), the hearing date(s), location of the hearing, name of the Administrative Law Judge who conducted the hearing, as well as your name, address and daytime telephone number.
The OAH charges a fee of $10.00 for the first hearing CD, and $5.00 for each additional CD needed to duplicate (burn) a hearing. The Media Office will contact the requestor with the total amount due to obtain an audio copy of the hearing. Monies are due in advance, if the recording is mailed to the requestor, or at the time of pick-up, if the requestor wishes to pick up the audio copy of the hearing at the Hunt Valley location.
The OAH does not process transcription requests in-house. For further information, contact a Media Technician.
